Evolution and Human History: Is Our Understanding About It Truly Correct?

Professor Jay Hall has taught for 11 years at the Howard College in Big Spring, Texas. He will be teaching Algebra, Physics and Earth Science in August this year at Southwest Covenant Schools in Yukon, Oklahoma.

We tend to think that evolution is a smooth line of changes in the characteristics of a species over several generations and relies on the process of natural selection. This, by the majority, accepted theory of an almost vivid and detailed description of human ascent from a tiny, one-celled monad is so convincing that one could almost believe science has seen the microscopic amoeba turn into a man with their own eyes. But does the theory of evolution merit a fanatical support, which would silence all opposing ideas?

Yes, goose bumpy indeed but, when digging a bit deeper into Darwin’s personal history we find that he didn’t gave the proper credit to those who wrote and theorized about the evolution of Earth’s flora and fauna before him, or during his life. He took these research findings, added his personal idea’s and research to it and, after being laughed at and pointed to the exit several times, presented/published it as his own. (using ones research and theories is alright as long as you give credit to your peers for the work they have done)

Although this might stir up some comfort-zones, we might give ourselves some blame as well. I mean, we blindly accept what is been written in history books. Think about it…we give credit to Thomas Edison for inventing the light bulb but, it was Sir Joseph Wilson Swan, an English physicist, who, one year earlier, invented a practical and longer-lasting electric light bulb. It seems that the ‘history’ we have become so familiar with, is not quite accurate. (some might call this “The Mandela effect”)

This brings me to evolution in general. It sounds more than logical when pioneering idea’s and theories concerning evolution are pointed in the direction of the human species as we know it today, we might not be that old as we think. It could easily be that we are not older than a few centuries. It might be highly possible that the modern human species, has a history not much older than one or two generations before the ancient Egyptians. Well, if that could be fact it is also more than logic that we are still see creatures like Bigfoot roaming the forests or snowy areas. Or, see subtle ripples on the surface of a large lake indicating that something enormous is swimming by.

When we, the human species, has spawn from two different species containing a similarity in their DNA, it is more than possible that we are simply a new species on a side branch of the tree called ‘evolution’.

I think that science should not wipe this way of viewing the path of evolution underneath the carpet. Because, let’s be honest, how much do we truly understand about our species, our (suppressed) hunting behaviours? Why do we dream? Why can’t we see in the dark? And, where has our rituals, beliefs and religions spawn from?

Odd, is it not? Compared to other species we are the only species that is practicing religion in a controlled system. I mean, we go to a building or gather at a particular place and pray to God or a prophet. We build sacred places and bring offers (flowers, food, drinks, our time and attention) and speak about heaven and hell. Still, after 900 years (since the 1400's), we have not a single clue where we travel to in the moment our physical clock stops ticking. It freaks us out tremendously! Are the rites preformed in ones religion a form of comforting for our consciousness when it slights into the big nothing or, is there really something after this reality?

Do angles and demons really exist or, is there something else going on in the human brain in the moment we are experiencing a tremendous feeling of stress? Are angles slowing down time for you to escape a nasty, or worse, a deathly situation? Or, is the brain mixing an incorrect chemical mixture and slight into a primordial defend mechanism?

Personally, I think it might be three-fold. 1) by means of an instant deep shock particular chemicals are being released in your brain for you to view the situation 360 degrees, to see ‘in front’ and get to safety. 2) Divine creatures (e.g. angles, spiritual guides) are directing your vision in order to ‘see’ danger ahead. 3) The true source of where evolution of all that has and is roaming the Earth’s surface, is letting you know that you are a divine creature by nature and gives you a glimpse of what you are capable of and, in what might be after this reality.

Live, evolution and yes even religion, is still wrapped in a mind dazzling mystery. It seems that we are a very young species that is trying to crawl out of the cradle we call ‘evolution’.

In 2020 I realized I was trapped in a toxic relationship since '00. In Aug. '22 I found the strength to break away, flip my life to become a psychotherapist.
